The Artificial Intelligence Area of the TIC Salut Social Foundation is made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals from fields such as biomedical engineering, mathematics, and telecommunications, among others. Main objectives are:
- Coordinate and fulfil actions to unfold Health/AI Programme
- Participate in AI projects funded with competitive funds that provide high value.
The TIC Salut Social Foundation Director, Joan Guanyabens, is the representative of the Department of Health at the Artificial Intelligence Commission approved in government agreement 45/2024, 27th February 2024. The new initiative wishes to provide the Generalitat with a transversal organisational framework that coordinates different fields of action that use technology based on AI when supplying public services, and, in addition, encourage the use of ethical, trustworthy, and respectful AI based on fundamental rights that guarantee citizens’ rights, such as to information, transparency, and personal data protection.
