The TIC Salut Social Foundation offers a service for assessing the quality of digital assets (mobile applications, web and other digital environments) in the field of health and wellbeing. This framework makes it possible to obtain a certification seal that certifies that the digital asset has passed the minimum quality requirements established in 4 areas of evaluation.
The Framework is based on the European technical specifications CEN ISO/TS 82304-2 and the requirements set by the Department of Health and other European directives, as outlined in the Good Practice Guide for Digital Assets for Citizenship, and is supported by the Functional Expert Committee. More information on the members of the Committee can be found at the bottom of this page.
The scope of the Framework includes both digital assets intended for citizens and those intended for healthcare professionals, developed within the Catalan Health System or by a private company but intended for use within the system. The assets can be independent or associated with other medical devices, such as wearables.
Externally, the results of the assessment are displayed by means of the following quality label, which is offered in two versions: a full version and a reduced version. The label shows the qualitative scores obtained in each domain as well as the overall score of the asset and allows to quickly identify the quality level of a digital application.
In addition to the label, a quality leaflet is being developed, which will contain more detailed information on the quality of the asset, including the most relevant results of the assessment, such as risks, contraindications and limitations of use. It will also be avaible in two formats: a browsable app and a downloadable document.
Take the Self-Assessment Test to understand your app’s maturity and know if it is ready to start the certification process. If it is, you can apply for your solution’s certification by the Digital Assets area via email at oficinamobilitat@ticsalutsocial.cat and we will provide advice to guarantee your digital asset meets the essential quality and reliability requirements.
Check out documents and information on what you need to know to successfully achieve a certificate under the tab Reference documents. More specifically, you can consult the document with all the information on the Evaluation Framework and the Good Practice Guide on Digital Assets for Citizens.
