The Social Sphere works closely with the Social Rights and Inclusion Department of the Catalan Government to promote the transformation of assisted care models in the social welfare field and propel technology as a transformative instrument. The team supports creating and driving new social information systems forward, the expansion in definitions of controlled vocabulary for the social sphere use, and evaluating project proposals in the technology and social fields. It also has a key role in the impulse of the future Social and Health Comprehensive Care Agency.
The Government passed an agreement to modify TIC Salut Social Foundation’s statutes on 31st October 2023 to intensify the Foundation assimilating the Department of Social Rights and Inclusion and make room for international projection. This resulted in members of the Department of Social Rights and Inclusion, as well as other entities, being integrated into TIC Salut Social Foundation’s Board at the end of the year.
