  • Share information stored securely and relocated through cloud computing.

01. Digital Medical Imaging System of Catalonia

The Catalan Health System is moving towards a unified model for the entire digital medical imaging system. The Digital Medical Imaging System of Catalonia (SIMDCAT)

Takes advantage of the potential offered by Cloud computing or the cloud to store and share information securely to improve the interoperable environment of the Integrated Public Use Healthcare System of Catalonia (SISCAT).

SIMDCAT is based on RAIM Cloud technology, which relocates the storage of the medical images of health providers to the cloud, through a shared PACS for all centres.

To date, SIMDCAT has been deployed across the entire SISCAT network and has focused on radiological (100%) and some non-radiological images.

SIMDCAT is not only a data repository, maintaining security policies so that each entity owns its data, but also shares features and resources based on the principle of multiple software architecture.
