Eight women from the business, professional and academic fields, a business initiative and a social initiative have been recognized out of a total of 80 nominations for the DonaTIC 2021 Awards. The main goal of the DonaTIC Plan is to increase the presence of women in the technology sector and it consists of four axes of action:

1. Make ICT attractive for present and future female talent.

2. Give visibility to technological women and content created by women.

3. Digitally train and empower everyone.

4. Promote the full and effective participation of ICT women in decision-making and entrepreneurship.

Since 2015, the DonaTIC Awards have received a total of 541 candidates. Compared to previous years, this year’s edition saw a notable increase in nominations in the DonaTIC Revelation category, which shows that girls are better trained than ever to compete in the digital sector.

In the health field, Anna Benavent Navarro, , senior telecommunications and CIO engineer at the Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell received the award in the Professional category thanks to her work to transform and improve the Health System, specifically in hospital care, using ICT as a driver of change to make healthcare devices sustainable in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
