Open registration period for the ENTI-UB master's in health cybersecurity with the participation of the TIC Salut i Social Foundation

Enrollment is now open for the Master of Permanent Training in Cybersecurity in the Health Environment, promoted by ENTI-UB, the School of New Interactive Technologies of the University of Barcelona. A specialized academic proposal that responds to the growing need for professionals trained in the protection of systems, data and digital infrastructures in the health sector.

The program will start in October 2026 and offers advanced training aimed at addressing the current challenges of cyber security in an increasingly digitized environment. Topics such as the protection of clinical information, continuity of care and the security of connected devices are strategic aspects for the healthcare system and form part of the master’s training proposal.

The duration is one academic course and its multidisciplinary structure combines technical, organizational and regulatory knowledge to train professionals capable of preventing, detecting and managing security incidents in health and socio-health organizations. The DPD Office promotes training content on current regulations

The TIC Salut i Social Foundation will actively participate in this new training proposal through the team of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (DPD), responsible for coordinating and teaching Module 2, dedicated to aspects related to research and protection and data governance, regulatory compliance and the management of risks associated with the treatment of health data.

The DPD Office will provide a practical and specialized view on key elements related to ethics in the use of data and technology design. Indispensable axes to take into account the regulatory challenges facing healthcare organizations in terms of privacy, information security and compliance with the different European and national legal frameworks. A series of new requirements derived from technological evolution and the digital transformation of health services to be taken into account for the success and scaling of innovation.

A specialized training for a strategic sector

The digitization of healthcare services, the increase in cyber threats and the incorporation of technologies such as artificial intelligence, telemedicine or connected medical devices have placed cybersecurity as one of the main challenges in the health sector.

In this context, the new master of ENTI-UB wants to contribute to form specialized profiles capable of responding to these challenges, combining a practical approach with the participation of professionals and reference institutions in the fields of technology, health and data protection.
