A new edition of the ‘Catalunya Rural Hub Val d’Aran’ is here, expanding its professional profiles by inviting doctors who have completed their Medical Residents to enjoy two weeks visiting the Val d’Aran, accompanied by the medical management of Aran Salut, to discover firsthand what the day-to-day life of doctors in high mountain areas is like.
From October 13th to 27th, Aran Salut offers free accommodation in Vielha and guided visits with a personalized program according to the specialty. The aim is for the MRs to become familiar with the unique integrated system that combines healthcare and social care.
This initiative, created by the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Generalitat together with Mobile World Capital Barcelona, aims to promote the retention of professionals in rural areas to combat the depopulation of these regions. The Conselh Generau d’Aran, through the HèPIC innovation hub, is continuing this project and seeks to showcase a pioneering healthcare and social care system established in Aran in collaboration with the Fundació TIC Salut Social.
Doctors specializing in pediatrics, traumatology, general surgery, anesthesia, radiology, gynecology, internal medicine, or family medicine can register for the program before September 13th through the following link: Catalunya Rural Hub – HÈPIC.
Participants will tour the different facilities and health centers, and enjoy a program of activities that will allow them to discover innovative technology-based projects such as artificial intelligence. They will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural environment, landscapes, and culture of the Val d’Aran. A unique experience that participants will have the privilege of enjoying.
