The TIC Salut Social Foundation fosters a seminar on integrated care and data protection

The TIC Salut Social Foundation and the Office of the Data Protection Delegate jointly deliver the Integrated Health and Social Services seminar of the University Assistance Network Manresa – Althaia (University of Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya). This collaboration is carried out through the Social Health TIC Chair and is taught with the aim of offering state of the art advances in the digitalisation of the social sector and the impetus of the new Agency Social and Health Integration for healthcare professionals in Bages.

The block on integrated care is delivered by Lourdes Rodríguez, technician of Digital Transformation of the Social Area and Integrated Care of the TIC Salut Social Foundation. The syllabus strives to offer a 360º vision with a technological view of this area.

The block on data protection taught by Maria Esteban, legal technician of the DPD Office of the Foundation, will complete the technological approach with regulatory considerations linked to the GDPR.

In this regard, Esteban affirms that “considering data protection from the design of projects helps to optimise time and resources in the approach of efficient and scalable technology”. Both blocks are structured as follows:  

 

10 years of the Social Health ICT Chair

On the joint initiative of the ICT Social Health Foundation and the University of Vic-UCC, the ICT Social Health Chair was set up in December 2013. Its objective is to provide service and act as a point of reference in the search for innovative technologies applied to health and the Social Services System of Catalonia.

Its activities include building and fostering a work network to improve care quality and efficiency. This network is made up of national and international health and socio-health institutions, the academic world and researchers.
