The TIC Salut Social Foundation and the Barbosa & Petit Foundation promote the first ICT grant in Mental Health

The TIC Salut Social Foundation together with the Barbosa & Petit Foundation, are opening the call for the first ICT in Mental Health Scholarship this 2024. This initiative aims to reward the best research project that includes ICT to improve the health and social care of the citizens. The deadline for submitting proposals is April 2.

This scholarship is aimed at master’s and doctoral students. The call will reward those Official University Master’s Final Projects or Doctoral Program Research Plans linked to studies that introduce technological innovation in the field of mental health.

Interested individuals must submit the same original version of their OUMFP or DPRD that was submitted and evaluated at their home university. The projects must include a theoretical framework and a methodological plan. As a supplement, a letter justifying the scientific contribution of the project with a maximum length of 500 words must be submitted.

Commitment to innovation and the improvement of care services

This joint effort by the TIC Salut Social Foundation and the Barbosa & Petit Foundation reflects their commitment to innovation and the improvement of mental health. It also provides a platform for emerging researchers to make a significant contribution in this sector.

The ICT in Mental Health scholarship is endowed with 1,000 euros for the best-valued project, and the award ceremony will take place at the Ca l’Arenas Art Center, Museum of Mataró on Thursday, April 11, 2024, starting at 7:00 pm. The event will be attended by professionals from the academic, health, and social welfare fields, as well as representatives from collaborating entities.

The project evaluation committee consists of 3 representatives: a person from the scientific community, a member of the Board of the Barbosa & Petit Foundation, and the head of Digital Transformation at the TIC Salut Social Foundation, Cristina Bustillo.

The evaluation criteria will focus on the relevance, innovation, and potential impact of the projects on the development of scientific evidence in ICT within the mental health sector. The evaluation committee will be composed of representatives from both foundations, the scientific community, and the university community, ensuring a rigorous and equitable selection process.
