The year starts with a schedule of four new technological innovation seminars from the TIC Salut Social Chair. The seminars are co-organised by the TIC Salut Health Chair of the University of Vic- UCC and the Althaia Foundation. The objective is twofold. Transfer the knowledge generated by the use of applied technology in the improvement of social and health services, and transfer new perspectives and tools to professionals to improve care for people.
During the first quarter of 2025, the Althaia Foundation will be the headquarters where health and social services professionals will be able to attend these sessions.
The seminars will be held in assembly room of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Manresa. Attendance is free upon registration. The details are set out below:
23 January from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Learning models with 3D technology and simulators. Presented by Arnau Valls, industrial engineer and member of the Research Institute of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona.
13 February from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: The image in the era of AI: present and future. Presented by Antón Aubanell, radiologist at the Hospital of Santa Cruz and Sant Pau in Barcelona.
13 March from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Support technology in retirement and nursing homes, by Andrea Barbiero. Digital health consultant.
10 April from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm: Relationship between mobile phone use and frailty rates. A prevention tool. Presented by Andreu Català, professor of Systems Engineering, Automation and Industrial Computing. Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
These events are designed for professionals in the fields of health and social services interested in expanding their knowledge and integrating innovative technologies in their daily practice.
