eHealthinking is a program that seeks to promote projects that contribute to improving health from a transversal perspective and connecting health, community and environment. It seeks to promote initiatives aligned with the principles of systemic health, saludogenesis and the One Health approach. It is promoted by the Fundación Joan Costa y Roma (Consorcio Sanitario de Terrassa), the Health and Social Innovation Laboratory of the Fundación Althaia, the Fundación Hospital de Santa Cruz y San Pablo and the Sustainability Hub of EADA Business School.
Aimed at enterprising people, health professionals, researchers and multidisciplinary teams, the proposals can address areas such as community health, mental health, care, healthy aging, chronicity, social and health integration, social and environmental determinants of health or digital technologies applied to well-being, among others. The call remains open until July 31, 2026.
The program offers a support pathway to help innovative ideas and projects evolve into viable solutions with a real impact on health and care. The initiative takes a holistic approach that incorporates the social and environmental determinants of health and promotes more sustainable, participatory care models that are connected to the needs of the community.
The call for applications is open to individuals and teams with a desire to innovate, regardless of the stage of development of their project. University students, early-stage startups, third-sector organizations, public administrations, and multidisciplinary teams interested in developing new solutions to current health challenges are also welcome to participate.
The selected participants will take part in a program that combines 80 hours of specialized training and 80 hours of personalized mentoring, complemented by practical workshops and tools for developing sustainable, impact-oriented business models.
eHealthinking also offers the opportunity to validate proposals in real-world healthcare settings, in collaboration with health and social service organizations. This process facilitates the development of solutions in direct contact with professionals and users, ensuring their viability before implementation.
The program brings together leading institutions from the healthcare, academic, and business sectors to support teams throughout the entire project development process. This collaboration fosters connections between knowledge, research, clinical practice, and entrepreneurship—key elements for accelerating innovation and facilitating the transfer of new solutions to the healthcare and social services system, in response to the challenges facing the health and social care sectors.
Collaboration among these stakeholders ensures that innovative ideas can be transformed into projects with a real impact on the quality of care, people’s well-being, and the sustainability and equity of services.
The program will culminate in a Demo Day, an event where participating teams will present their projects to a jury of professionals from the fields of health, innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment. This session will showcase the initiatives developed during the program, generate new collaboration opportunities, and explore avenues for validation, acceleration, or funding that will support their implementation and growth.
The application period is now open and applications can be submitted until July 31, 2026. The selected candidates will be announced on August 17, 2026, and the program will begin in September 2026.
Those interested can consult the complete terms and conditions of the call for applications, which specify the participation requirements, selection criteria, schedule, and program details. Applications are submitted using the form available here. The program accepts both individual applications and teams of up to four people. If a team is not yet complete, the program facilitates contact between participants to encourage the formation of multidisciplinary teams.
