The TIC Salut Social’s RDI Conference is back for another year. This twelfth conference is titled “ICT and Community: risks and benefits”. It will be held on 16 March in the Aula Magna [Great Hall] of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) and will focus on the opportunities and advances in the field of social and health care integration.
The event will be attended by experts in the field who will share their knowledge through various debates on topics such as constructing better care through integration, how to promote psychosocial wellbeing among the young and adolescent population with technology, and the opportunities and risks of ICT among so-called digital natives.
In addition to the debates, various professionals will convey to the audience the lessons they have learned in projects developed throughout the region and raise practical issues based on the implementation of social and health care integration.
It will kick off at 9am with a few words of welcome from Catalan Government Minister Manel Balcells. The closing session will take place at 6.30pm the same day.
The professionals taking part in the programme include Ms Aina Plaza, the Director General of Health Planning at the Department of Health; Ms Marta Segura, the Director General of Personal Autonomy and Disability at the Department of Social Rights; Dr Montserrat Dolz, a child and youth psychiatrist and the Head of the Mental Health Area at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital; Ms Liliana Arroyo, the Director General of Digital Society at the Department of Business and Employment; Mr Toni Dedéu, a senior advisor on Integrated Primary Health Care and WHO regional staff member for Europe; Mr Jordi Piera, the Director of Digital Health Strategy at the Catalan Health Service; and Ms Eva Espasa, the Deputy Vice-chancellor of Research and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia.
The conference is organised by the TIC Salut Social Foundation, the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, ICS – Territorial Management of Central Catalonia, Althaia, EAP Vic, Vic Hospital Consortium, FORES and the Santa Creu de Vic Hospital Foundation.
