Save the date: European conference on the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in oncology

On 7 November, Madrid is hosting the event ‘AI and Cancer: Unleashing Opportunities, Overcoming Challenges’, promoted by the INCISIVE and EUCAIM European projects and the Artificial Intelligence for Health Imaging (AI4HI) cluster, and co-organised by the TIC Salut Social Foundation and Medtronic Spain. The event can be attended in person at The Cube (Calle de Rufino González, 25, Madrid) or remotely. Free prior registration required through this link.

The event is for health professionals, research staff and AI developers in this field, and will be attended by representatives of the projects and the cluster, as well as experts from all around Europe in different aspects related to the application of artificial intelligence in health.

The conference’s agenda includes discussion of issues such as the importance of medical image repositories in oncology for research and clinical practice; ethical, legal and security issues that need to be considered in the data sharing process; emerging technologies and services being developed for the visualisation and analysis of cancer medical imaging data, and examples of use cases.

About the organisers

INCISIVE is a European project that works to improve cancer diagnosis and prediction with artificial intelligence and big data. It is part of the AI4HI cluster. Thanks to the contribution of the cluster’s projects, EUCAIM will deploy a federated European oncology imaging data infrastructure. The goal is to cover more than 100,000 cancer cases by 2025 and have nearly 60 million cancer images recorded in a distributed atlas of cancer images.

The TIC Salut Social Foundation and Medtronic Spain are co-organising the event as INCISIVE project partners in Spain.
