NaviLens is a system of artificial labels or markers such as high-density QR codes that allow reading at a long distance, without the need to focus and even in motion, providing information about the environment for blind people and people with low vision, which allows them to be more autonomous in unfamiliar surroundings, for example, moving through a city. These labels are currently integrated in Barcelona’s metro and bus stations.
Once the application is downloaded, all you need to do is point the device’s camera at a label to quickly read its content. The application has a new sound system with which a blind person can locate the label in space with precision, without the need for headphones.
