For the last fourteen years, Diario Médico has used these awards to recognise the work of professionals, administrations, institutions and companies which have brought improvements both to research in biomedicine and healthcare and health management in the Spanish state.

Diario Médico rewarded the use of this application as it allows the schedule of vaccines to be monitored more easily. In this sense, it allows a register to be had of the vaccines already given, those pending, reminders to be programmed and access to information on each vaccine. iVacunes was developed by the Catalonia Public Health Agency and Fundació TicSalut, with the collaboration of Mobile World Capital Barcelona.

Apart from the iVacunes app, this publication specialised in health issues also rewarded the agreement for the participation of doctors in managing centres in order to give a drive to the professional participation in organisational, clinical and sanitary aspects of outpatient centres and hospitals of the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) and a project on healthcare education through audio-visual communication, promoted by the Department of Health and the Audio-visual Council of Catalonia. Finally, in relation to prizes to management, Mataró Hospital was awarded for the first cost efficiency study of surgical procedures.
