The AppSalut Portal, the Intersocial project and the Trends Map present at Inforsalud

The 20th edition of the Inforsalud 2017 Congress was held in Madrid from 20 to 23 March. The aim of this meeting was to focus on the digital transformation of the health sector by gathering expert professionals from different areas to develop and advance towards the implementation of digital health technologies benefiting citizens. 

Fundació TicSalut presented the AppSalut Portal and the mobile applications accreditation model that is to become a display of mobile applications of the sector of health and social well-being to empower citizens and make them aware of and jointly responsible for their health. Carme Pratdepàdua, of the Mobility Office, presented the portal, stating that, “Fundació Ticsalut works constantly on promoting, implementing and using the new health and social technologies not only in Catalonia, but also nationwide, in Europe and beyond”.

Ariadna Rius, of the Office of Standards and Interoperability, presented the Intersocial project of semantic interoperability in the Area of Social Care, where the main aim is to define a controlled common vocabulary to be used to interoperate information in the area of social care, intended especially for people with social and health needs.

Finally, Lourdes Rodriguez presented the Trends Map project, which is an annual survey of those responsible for information systems in the provider centres in the Catalan health system and which is intended to study these institutions’ development and use of ICTs. In the 2016 edition, the study included two new questionnaires in a pilot phase, directed at those responsible for citizen’s healthcare.

Dr. Francesc Garcia Cuyàs, the Fundació TicSalut CEO, took part in the round table “Implementing new technologies in the healthcare processes”, and Mr. Pol Pérez i Sust, the General Coordinator of ICT for the Health Department had his say at the round table “Use of information from the health system to improve quality, efficiency, planning, public health, research, development and innovation”.

One year more, INFORSALUD 2017 has become an essential meeting for all professionals of the sector of ICT in Health and it is contributing to transforming healthcare for the improvement of the quality and efficiency of the health systems.
