The past Tuesday 15 March saw the holding of the I mHealth.Cat Meeting, organised by Fundació TicSalut with the support of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona and the Department of Employment, Social Affairs and Families. The meeting served to establish a framework to move forward in the deployment of the Master Mobility Plan along with the Health and Social sectors of Catalonia, by addressing all directors and people responsible for the entities of the sector, professionals and associated companies.

During the meeting, the CEO of Fundació TicSalut, Francesc Garcia Cuyàs, made clear the will "of bringing the citizens the services and systems which pay attention to the person". One of the tools in doing this is the creation of the mHealth.cat Office, which appears to drive the deployment of applications, initiatives and mobility projects in the territory by offering tools, guidelines and advice in the area of mHealth.

Presented in public for the first time during the meeting, "the office aims to bring forward and make the health and social system more accessible both to citizens and professionals", Carme Pratdepàdua, project manager for Fundació TicSalut, explained. And she added, "The office will give us a complete view of how mobility can influence the prevention and promotion of health and care for people, and also of their diagnosis and treatment.”
