On 22 February, the mHealth BCN Conference 2018 took place, organised by the Catalan Society of Family Medicine (CAMFiC) and the iSYS Foundation (Internet, Health and Society). Held at the CAMfic headquarters in Barcelona, the conference was structured into three main areas, which addressed the following topics: developing mobile applications; interoperability; and submitting research and innovation projects.

Representatives of the TIC Salut Social Foundation moderated the first round-table debate, entitled ‘Conditioning Factors of Technological Development’ and presented the project, Intersocial, as an innovative initiative within social care. The second table, focused on interoperability, also presented the model currently used by SISCAT to exchange data on mHealth. This model is being developed through the AppSalut website and it is based on standardising communication between Apps and the Digital Health Platform (PSD), including normalised data representation with SNOMED CT internationally standardised terminology.
